It’s a simple place

Yet hard to find

Neither here nor there

Paradise gained, then quickly lost

Hovering in the day’s blue light

Solid only in the moment’s in-between

Moments lost to our wakeful selves

When gazes grow blurred

Heartbeats of eternity

Slip past

 The clock holds its breath

As a wandering mind

Finds respite

In horizons sought

Yet rarely found
